LAKHTA VIEW
AN INNOVATIVE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROJECT AIMED TO PRESENT HOLISTIC VIEW ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FUTURISTIC CITY AS A HARMONIC ENVIRONMENT
FOR A HUMAN THROUGH THE INTERDISCIPLINARY SYNTHESIS OF CULTURE, ART, SCIENCE,
ARCHITECTURE, DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY.

Lakhta View includes eight thematic sessions, which will take place in the hall of the Zinger House every 3rd Friday of the month starting from November 2017 and lasting till June 2018. The key aspects of the planning, design and fulfilling of the urban space.

The sessions' format of Lakhta View combines the speeches of the subject matter experts with an open discussion, in which every participant can take part. The open dialogue with the audience and spectators of the live stream is under direction of two moderators. The above-mentioned are the top class experts in the sphere under discussion.

Experts will share their ideas with the audience on how to turn the city into a living, changing space, filling its daily life with new images and meanings.

The speakers of the 3rd session in January are the following:
Jonathan Barnbrook
artist/graphic designer
British graphic designer with a world-wide name, design author of multiple exhibitions at the Victoria and Albert Museum, Saatchi Gallery; designed the cover artwork of David Bowie's albums and Damien Hirst's art books
Phillip Tefft
designer
Director of the London Branch of the Architectural Bureau Ralph Appelbaum, author of the design concepts of museums around the world
Moderators
Anastasia Butrym
Director of the British Higher School of Art and Design
Supervises the strategic development of the British Higher School of Art and Design. Moderates the discussion part of the event
Olga Buzina
Communications Director of Lakhta Center
Program director of LAKHTA VIEW, manager of cultural projects, PhD in Philosophical sciences. Moderates the lecture part of the event

How can I get to the session?
The amount of the seats in the Zinger House is limited. In order to that we are strongly advising to sign up to the session beforehand. You can do it by filling the form above or at Lakhta View web page at the TimePad.

What should I pay for the entry fee?
The entrance is free after registration (see information above)

At which language the sessions are given?
The official language of the event is English.

Of course! We are encouraging you to participate in LAKHTA VIEW discussions in St. Petersburg. Feel free to contact us via official social media accounts in Facebook and VK.com. We are going to pick the most interesting questions and our experts will give the answers.

About the Initiator of the project
Lakhta Center is a global project whose mission is to create an innovative multifunctional complex with the headquarters of the Gazprom group and open spaces of 400 thousand square meters.
Lakhta Center is one of the most high-tech construction projects in the world - many engineering solutions are used here for the first time both in Russian and international architectural practice. The project is implemented by a team of 18 countries.
The concept of the complex incorporates the idea of creating the sightseeing of a new format for St. Petersburg and the complex creation of an urban environment of a fundamentally new level.
The architectural dominant of the Lakhta Center - the tower, the total height
of which is 462 meters, - today is already the tallest building in Europe.
